As a writer, Cate Cohen has always been motivated by her desire to see (and play) dynamic female characters on stage and screen. As a college theater student, her frustration with the glaring lack of roles for young female students was the inspiration for her first play- the semi-autobiographical So What’s For Dinner, based on her real-life family of 7 women and one man.
When she isn’t busy in front of the camera, Cate can still be found creating entertaining and enlightening stories centered around wonderfully complicated female and female-indentifying characters. Recent projects include her one-hour family drama pilot, Pretense, and her 1/2 hour dramedy pilot, Enamorata.
